The Lincoln Third Grade classes will be traveling to Hartman Reserve on Wednesday, October 20, 2010.  Students will take part in activities which support our social studies, science, and writing curriculum including:

·         A scavenger hunt and tour of the center’s “Green Building” to learn about environmental friendly building practices. 

·         An orienteering lesson to supplement our social studies curriculum.

·         Studying the life in an old rotten log and how the log is used as a habitat.

·         Writing inspired by nature.

        Buses will leave the building at approximately 9:00am and return about 1:30pm.  We will be going rain or shine, so please make sure students are dressed for the weather. 

        Students must have a sack lunch for this day.  You may send a sack lunch with your child, or order one through the hot lunch program.  Please be sure to indicate your choice on the form below.

       We are also in need of parent volunteers to help us on this field trip.  If you are able to join us and supervise a small group of students, please let us know by checking the form below.
